The strength of Sandy Hill Community Health Centre depends on our membership. Come and get involved in your Community Health Centre! Joining SHCHC indicates that you support our mission and core values. As a member, you may:
- run for, become elected and sit on the Board of Directors;
- participate as a non-voting member in Board Committees;
- vote for the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting;
- vote for other issues that may come up at the Annual General Meeting, such as by-law changes;
- receive our annual report and other special mailings about our activities and events.
To apply for membership, please print and fill out the Membership Application Form and return it to us:

- or simply drop it off at the front reception, attention to Christiane Farah.
Membership Eligibility
Membership with the SHCHC shall be available to such individuals who:
- are interested in furthering the objectives of the Centre and agree with our mission and values;
- are at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- reside or work in the City of Ottawa;
- are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, refugees or diplomats;
- have not been on the list of barred clients of the Centre for the past two (2) years;
- have not been employees of the Centre for the past two (2) years; and
- whose application for admission as a member has received the approval of the SHCHC Board of Directors.
No membership fee is required.
