To address a high volume of new client registrations, our primary healthcare clinic is unable to accept new patients at this time. If you hold an OHIP card and are looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner, please register with Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1822. Our clinic selects new patients from the Health Care Connect waiting list as spaces become available.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
In 2016, the award was presented at the Annual General Meeting on June 29th to Sylvie Roussel, in recognition of her leadership by strengthening health knowledge and skills, sustaining environment supportive of health and having a significant impact in the community of Strathcona Heights.
Sylvie has been volunteering in the community for more than three years. She is the Good Food Box coordinator in Strathcona Heights, but is also volunteering at the Market Mobile. Food security is very important to her, and, as a single mom of two girls, she is trying to improve the health and wellbeing of both her family and neighbourhood. Sylvie also runs an Art and Craft group for the children in her community. She is involved in the Strathcona Heights Neighbourhood Circle, and works continuously with her neighbours towards building a better community. Sylvie is looking forward to an exciting new gardening project where folks in Strathcona Heights can grow healthy fruits and vegetables. She was very honoured to receive this award.
