HPCDM Staging

A Balancing Act


A 1-hour virtual and bilingual class that focuses on improving your balance and preventing falls. This class also includes exercises to challenge balance, strengthen the lower limbs, and improve posture. Participants are also guided through a variety of vestibular, coordination, and acu-pressure exercises. Try it and challenge yourself!

Feeding Toddlers


For parents with older babies and toddlers from 12 months to 3 years old. Topics will include: food and beverage choices and portions, division of responsibility in feeding, distractions during meals, tips for picky eaters and much more. Group will be offered in person at the Parent Resource Centre.

Heart Wise Fitness


A 1-hour online exercise class suitable for individuals who are graduating from cardiovascular or other rehabilitation programs as well as those at risk of developing a cardiovascular or chronic health issue. This program is offered bilingually and is recognized by the Heart Wise of the University of Ottawa Ottawa Heart Institute.

Nordic Walking


This 30-minute virtual session is a perfect way to warm up before heading out for your daily walk. Sessions include strengthening exercises and stretches. Nordic Walking techniques are reviewed and participants are given the opportunity to connect on a weekly basis!

Walking Club @ SHCC


This walking group is offered in person at the Sandy Hill Community Center (250 Somerset Street East). It is a low impact walking exercise that is good for your bones, strengthens your body and improves your overall fitness. Walking may take place indoors or outdoors.
