Overview

Our Health Promotion and Wellness program offers welcoming, community-based nutrition education and other supports to help people build knowledge and skills for their health and well-being. Nutrition groups and workshops continue and are offered periodically throughout the year. Physical activity groups have been temporarily suspended effective April 1, 2026; please see the important notice and alternative resources below.

Important Notice: Our centre is temporarily suspending physical activity programming for the next few months as we reallocate resources to respond to urgent community needs for access to primary care.

We recognize that this change may impact our community members and partners, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Participation in physical activity, social connection, and health promotion is an important part of overall health and wellbeing. As a result, as an alternative to our programming, we encourage you to explore the following free and low-cost options available in Ottawa, with a focus on Sandy Hill and Lowertown.
